Add a Designation Type

You can add designation types to your case from the Designations tab in an open case.

To add a designation type, open the case and follow the steps below:

  1. Select the Designations tab.

  2. The Designations table appears.

  3. Click the Add button.

  4. The Add Designation dialog appears.

  5. Enter the information for the designation type in the dialog.

  6. Input the following information:

    • Name - The name of the designation type

    • Color - A color to help identify the designation type

    • Party - The party responsible for the designation (for more information on defining parties, view the Parties article)

  7. Click the Save & Close button.

  8. The dialog closes, and the designation type information is added to the case.
